About

Emelie Törling is a Swedish artist, designer and creative director whose work is rooted in one central idea: creating places that people can truly feel.

Whether working with art, photography, fashion, interiors, landscapes or gardens, her process always begins in the same way. Before creating, she spends time simply experiencing the space. She believes every place has its own essence, and her role is to reveal it rather than impose a style upon it.

Having lived and worked in Zürich and New York, Emelie brings an international perspective shaped by over a decade in the worlds of art, fashion and design.

In 2013 she founded LEONTINE in New York, a handmade footwear and jewellery label crafted from sourced vintage materials. The brand was worn by Kate Moss and later led to a collaboration with Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, initiated by stylist Clare Richardson. Her work has been featured in Vogue US, Financial Times, W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, i-D, Paper Magazine, Another Man and L’Officiel.

In 2022 she was commissioned to create the mural for The Mulberry in New York, later featured inVogue US. Her artistic practice was profiled in a personal feature by the Financial Times, which described the mural as drawing visitors through the space “with a sort of dream logic” and highlighted the intuitive process behind her work.

Deeply influenced by nature, wellness and the emotional relationship between people and their surroundings, Emelie is drawn to timelessness rather than trends. Her work explores the quiet qualities that cannot always be seen, but can always be felt — creating gardens, landscapes and spaces that nurture wellbeing, invite presence and become more meaningful over time.

She is currently studying Garden Design at Inchbald, further developing her practice in garden and landscape design.
